Growing up and living in the Chicago metropolitan area, Richard’s careers have included the practice of medicine as an Obstetrician-Gynecologist, alternative therapies practitioner, spiritual teacher and guide, adventure expedition leader to remote areas of Peru and Brazil, and writer. In September of 2004 Richard, his wife Karen and their Rottweiler Dexter piled into the SUV and headed West. They landed in Laguna Beach where Richard continued his career as a writer and was bitten by the acting bug after being featured in a show produced for The Learning Channel. Since then he has been seen in numerous commercials, film, and theater.

Richard, Karen, their 2 dogs Little Dog and Jinger (Dexter sadly passed on in 2007 at the wonderful age of 16), and cat Abbey still enjoy the warm sand of Laguna Beach and reflections of a full moon over the ocean when not acting, writing, or enjoying hikes in the surrounding mountains.
